We're into October and things are looking bright for the real estate market in Austin. According to the Mortgage Bankers Association, interest rates are going to continue to come down slightly.
Here's what they are currently predicting for 30 year fixed mortgage rates:
- Q4 2024: 6.2%
- Q1 2025: 6.0%
- Q2 2025: 5.9%
- Q3 2025: 5.9%
- Q4 2025: 5.8%
- 2026: 5.8%
Keep in mind that these are just predictions, but they are a positive sign for anyone considering a move in or to Austin.
Whether you're planning to buy or sell your home in Austin, things are looking positive. With interest rates coming down, we're already seeing more buyers starting (or restarting) their search.
